Aaron Bengochea’s Expertise I grew up in North Atlanta and moved to Athens, GA in 2013. After switching from Early Childhood Education to Environmental Engineering Technology, I graduated from Athens Technical College in 2016. While finishing my degree, I worked at Smith Planning Group, initially for internship hours, and continued to work for them after graduation until finding a full time position with PC Simonton & Associates in July of 2017. At Smith Planning, I was mainly a drafter. I worked under close supervision to draw full plansets and do design work for mostly commercial sites. With PC Simonton & Associates, I am a Civil Engineering Designer. My responsibilities include drafting, hydraulic and hydrologic design, grading, designing for erosion and sedimentation control, civil design, as well as plan detailing. In 2019, I returned to Smith Planning Group as a design associate.
