Adam Barber’s Expertise I retired from the Air Force Reserve in 2009 after almost 22 years of service. Since then I have enjoyed being back in the Food and Beverage industry. I have a passion for working with people and learning their stories. What makes them tick! Everybody is an individual, no two are alike. So being able to recognize that makes communication a breeze. In addition, I have enjoyed years in food service operations and cross functional management. Being interactive with my employees, identifying and correcting customer pain points and analyzing a restaurants performance needs come second nature to me. Integrity. I have spent years with dual careers in the Air Force and civilian sector and nothing is more powerful then having integrity. I believe in myself and I respect myself. That builds trust with others when you're able to emulate that through your interactions. Value. You can value your customers but even before that, you must value your employees. I will spend all the time necessary to learn everything about my employees that I can, and respect them for their opinions. I cannot lead a business alone, therefore ensuring my employees are valued is key. We are a team and everyone plays a part. Passion. I don't like jobs, I like to have fun. So I'll have fun and make money while I do it. Love what you do and do what you love. Share your story with others and allow them to experience that same level of passion. Responsibility. Take the bull by the horns and own it! Whether I'm planning a project budget or reviewing a P&L for accuracy, whether I'm merchandising a retail outlet or leading a call center of 500 plus employees I'm going to own it! I have no regrets in my life. I've made decisions that have led me down roads full of obstacles and I've cleared every one of them. Failure is not in my vocabulary. But a good life balance is needed too. You only live once, live it to the fullest!
