During my time studying to become an educator I took great joy in educating the children I have worked with because I was able to witness children learning through my individual efforts. I want to be able to devote my teaching career experience to fostering a learning environment that is safe and inclusive for all students. My experience as a student teacher from Michael J Petrides School and New Dorp High School have provided me with an insight in administering lessons created by incorporating universal design lesson plans to differentiate and accommodate the student’s needs. I am able to execute lessons for different class types from general education to self-contained classrooms that are engaging and at the same time able to incorporate technological services. Especially during times where the student’s education is digital it is critical for educators to know how to adapt and incorporate digital and technology into our lessons. I have assisted in the process of creating student IEP’s and implementing the student’s specific IEP goals. I am certain you will find that my work ethic is impeccable, that I am diligent and committed to the benefit of the students that I teach. During my schooling, I benefitted greatly by the dedication of special education teachers that supplemented my education.
