Alex Faaborg’s Expertise Alex Faaborg is a designer in Meta's Reality Labs, working on future AR products. Previously he was at Google for 10 years, leading design teams working on Lens, ARCore, Daydream, Android Wear, and the Android System UI for KitKat. He contributed to the OS design of Google Glass. Prior to joining Google, Alex served at Mozilla as the principal designer on Firefox for 5 years, leading the design of Firefox 2, 3 and 4. Much of Alex’s innovative work in the technology industry comes from his experience in academia: at the MIT Media Lab he researched artificial intelligence, intelligent agents, and context aware computing. Alex’s interactive design work is based on fundamentals of human cognition and perception, from his background in Cognitive Science and Information Science at Cornell University.
