As the Marketing, IT, and Leasing Administrator, I've implemented new resources and procedures to rent our commercial spaces and manage the portfolio more smoothly. The circumstances that allowed me to develop these organizational skills came at the age of four when I was diagnosed with a non-cancerous brain tumor. After a 13-hour surgery, a 9-day medically induced coma, then 30 rounds of radiation four years later, I made a successful recovery. Over time, I learned to organize my medications, monitor my body if something was off, and quickly solve any medical issues that arose. To help give back to the community and medical professionals who saved my life. For the last 15 years, I am registered and serve as a peer-to-peer counselor with the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation. This organization assists families going through similar situations that my family and I experienced. As a counselor, I can offer feedback and recommendations to their daunting questions and guide them through the surgery and recovery process. Additionally, my family and I started a non-profit, Project To Cure, which funds pediatric brain cancer research with a lab at the Northwell Health System in Manhasset, NY.
