  I have been involved with vessel operations in the Marine/ Offshore/ Oil & Gas industry for almost 20 years. I started out with how vessels work, and the symphony of mechanics needed to make a vessel function well and moved on to operations and management of vessels on a daily basis. Having sailed with vessels in capacities such as trainer, system administrator, owner representative and pre-audit surveyor, I understand both the needs of the crew on board as well as expectations of the company and clients. I have managed to be able to find balances to satisfy all parties in several instances. I have also been involved with vessels’ drydocking, pre-hire audits, safety audits, class and flag surveys, and port state inspections. Before the slump in the industry in 2015-2016, I was also actively involved with newbuild projects in Batam and China, from keel laying until vessel delivery for maiden voyages. I am seeking a position within the Marine / Site Operations Department, as an Operations/Marine Superintendent. My all-rounded experience will be of great benefit to you and your company. A workaholic with a never-say-die attitude and a keenness to learn and to be taught, I believe I can contribute immensely to the benefit of the company. I understand that I may not have the relevant tertiary education, as I had to forgo after my National Service due to my family’s financial predicament back then. However, I have excelled at every opportunity given to me and managed to learn and grow. I am a very keen learner and am both a team player and an independent individual.
