Our goal is to translate disease-associated genetic signals into viable targets for siRNA therapy. Prior to this, my work focused on genes, telomeres, inflammation and hippocampal neurogenesis in the context of psychiatric disorders, and how currently available drugs such as lithium may reverse the biological phenotypes associated with these disorders. As well as having academic experience, I also have experience working in a global research agency. My diverse background means I have been able to acquire skills in client facing and presentation, big data, genetic and genomics, as well as cell culture, biochemistry and imaging.
