From a young age, I was inspired through my involvement in school student government and my church's outreach programs to connect with those in my community. The saying that my mother instilled in me of "making myself uncomfortable to make others comfortable" is something that I have turned into a mission statement for everything I do in life. I worked in high school towards these aspirations of connecting with others and advancing accessibility through my roles in student government, volunteering clubs, and youth advocacy commissions. Now at UCLA, I have continued this mission in the External Vice President's Office, BruinsVote, the Student Alumni Association, Rotaract, an Undergraduate Research Journal (Aleph) and as a local tutor.
