I received my Bachelor’s degree from Sardar Patel University, India, Masters from Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad and Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and PhD from Shobhit University, India. Before joining UPES, I have taught at institutions in Malaysia, Maldives, Suriname and India. A major duration of my academic career was spent at UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During my stint at FPS, UCSI University, I have served at several positions like Head of Research, Head of Postgraduate and Research, and Vice Chair of Student Welfare Committee. I have also served as a Visiting Lecturer at Anton De Kom Universiteit van Suriname and Visiting Professor at Villa College, Maldives. My area of expertise in research is computer aided drug design and synthesis of drugs and small molecules of biological interest. My research focuses on the design of selective phosphodiesterase 4B inhibitors as anti-inflammatory agents and phosphodiesterase 10A inhibitors as anti-schizophrenia drugs. I have received several research grants including FRGS from Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. I have published over 50 publications in journals of international repute and four book chapters. I have received several awards for research innovation over the years i.e. MTE, ITEX, PECIPTA. I am on the editorial board of international journals such as PLOS One and Frontiers in Drug Discovery and served as reviewer for many journals of significant reputation including Medicinal Chemistry Research, PLOS ONE, Journal of Molecular Modeling, Future Drugs, Cell Biochemistry and Biophysics etc. I have also served as the Editor of PHA℞MACYCONNECT, the official newsletter of FPS, UCSI University and “New Dimensions” official newsletter of Shobhit University, India.
