During this journey, he has also won several coveted national and international awards for his advertising writing as well as ad film direction. And very recently for his feature film direction too. Anand started his advertising journey in 1999 as a Jr. Copywriter with Quadrant Communications (a sister concern of Lintas) and went on to become the Gr. Creative Director of DDB Mudra West, also handling some brands of Delhi and Bangalore office. After spending 15 years in advertising jobs, working with top agencies and handling brands like MCDONALS, VOLKSWAGEN, TIMES OF INDIA, BIG BAZAAR, TATA MOTORS, POLICYBAZAAR, RELIANCE MOBILE, RELIANCE MUTUAL FUNDS, GULF OIL, NESTLE, ANCHOR ELECTRICALS, ANCHOR WHITE TOOTHPASTE, J HAMPSTEAD, FEM COSMETICS, HENKEL GROUP, ZEE, SINGAPORE TOURISM to name just a few, in 2014 Anand stepped out and decided to go independent. While he continued to follow his passion for writing and growing brands as a creative Mentor with Boing advertising, he started directing ad films too. With every subsequent commercial he directed, Anand honed his skill. His stellar experience helped him big, especially when it came to telling brand stories via films. He has directed films for some of India’s best brands like ICICI, Paisabazaar.com, Policybazaar.com, Rin, Pril, Red Label Tea, Maruti Suzuki, Benadryl, Nirma Advance, Finolex Fans…and not to forget, the famous ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’ campaign for AMFI which took the mutual fund industry to newer heights because of its exemplary and direct story telling which appealed to the core consumer who was, up till now, ignorant about this financial tool.
