  Hello! I am Andrea Davies, thank you for stopping by. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and a BA in English and Art; I am an essayist and dabbler in poems and visual art. Through the years, I have discovered that it is the healing and transformative qualities, essentially the naturally therapeutic core of writing and art making, that most interests me. At present, I live in southern coastal Maine and work at Harvard Medical School where I have the pleasure of acting as the Project Coordinator for Harvard Health Publishing in the Office of External Education. Formerly, I worked as an administrative coordinator with The Committee on Ethnicity, Migration, Rights as well as the Harvard Mellon Urban Initiative at Harvard University. Before coming to Harvard, I worked as the Program Manager at ARTS: A Reason to Survive, Inc. as well as a Creative Writing and Visual Arts Teaching Artist in San Francisco and San Diego based organizations such as: A Reason to Survive, Inc., The AjA Project, San Diego Art Institute, Tel-Hi Neighborhood Center and Streetside Stories. I am building towards a career as a wellness professional; intentionally and intuitively taking the process one step at a time while living and working authentically and deepening my own contemplative and somatic practices.
