My first training was as a psychologist. I am a Dr of Psychology and my expertise is in the area of stress and relationships – Attachment Theory. My PhD is in the field of relationship science, and I also lecture on this and a wide range of psychology, counselling and psychotherapy topics at Middlesex University. I have published my research in peer-reviewed scientific journals and written book chapters. I also run international trainings for both private organisations and the NHS on the research and clinical applications of this Attachment Theory. About my psychotherapy and counselling practice: As a psychotherapist, I am trained in Attachment-based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. This kind of therapy involves talking about, trying to understand, and sometimes challenge, our behaviours, thoughts and feelings, especially the ones that we might not be so aware of. Good therapy is always “tailor-made”, and in working together I would combine different counselling and psychotherapy approaches (including cognitive, behavioural and psychodynamic) so that I can work in the most effective way to help you personally.
