Life changed and that world turned into a Paralegal Degree where I spent most of my industry years, followed by a Bachelor's in HR, which some how lead me to a world of Sales. I'm running an AMAZING Pet Therapy Program and Veteran program called BJ Chimenti Angel Fund for Veterans and Pets Program part-time. The Hinsdale Humane Society's Pet Therapy Teams visit with residents, sharing chats and smiles while the pets provide an unending supply of warmth and love. The goal is to reduce loneliness and boredom, while encouraging memories. While our BJ Chimenti Angel Fund for Veterans and Pets Mission is to nurture the healing powers of the human animal bond and provide ongoing support — moral, financial, and educational — to our military veterans and active duty servicemen and women and military families. When I'm not working in animal welfare or finding a way to make a Veteran's life better, you can find me volunteering at One Tail at a Time in the City, fostering for Hinsdale Humane Society or volunteering at Chicago Animal Care & Control and Community Animal Rescue Effort in the Chicago suburbs helping more rescue dogs in need and spending my time underwater at the Shedd Aquarium, for my own 'Animal Therapy'. I've seen what a difference animals can make in people. If I can make a difference in just one person's life, I can look back on that and be proud.
