  One of the best lessons I've learned in life is to never stop learning and knowledge is power. That being said as I transition from military to civilian i am hopeful to bring what i have learned in my time serving in conjunction with the valuable knowledge and certifications I've gained from New Horizons Computer Learning Center. I plan to continue my education in this industry. I hope to bring my ambitious attitude and relentless work ethic to the IT industry. I spent 6 years in the US Navy, serving on board an Aegis class destroyer as a Computer network technician. My job allowed me to work with different kinds of equipment from Cisco switches and using linux OS equipment, soldering electronic components, as well as work on mechanical equipment such as our cooling water skid. I thoroughly enjoyed the work and knowledge and experience i gained as a tech on board. I was able to really sharpen my skills in troubleshooting and problem solving while working in a very fast paced stressful environment. I had the opportunity to lead my team of technicians through multiple DoD projects and inspections as the lead technician resulting in 100 percent pass rate and scores well above fleet average.
