As I was achieving my degrees, I had different opportunities to help provide the funds for school and to help me build my profile. I really enjoy learning new skills that will benefit the organization in which I am employed. I am always looking for opportunities to develop new skills that will help me with my career. In high school, I had the opportunity to challenge and dedicate myself to achieve an Eagle Scout award. I had the opportunity to provide service in my community, (Portland, OR and Beaverton, OR) with services and fundraisers to help the local school districts. I was later given the opportunity to serve a two year mission for my church in Brazil. This was a great experience that led me to really step out of my comfort zone due to the lack of ability to speak Portuguese. In Brazil, I would teach people in various group sizes and settings. I taught one on one to over 200 people at once. The ways I found people to teach was from coming up to strangers and having the courage to do so in the streets to having current members of the church introduce us to their friends and family. I also had the opportunity to lead over 180 missionaries. I had to provide training and accountability for them.
