I worked for Schneider for over 21yrs in total, apart for a small 3yr sabbatical in to street lighting consultancy around 2003-2006. My partner, myself and my young son are devout hockey fans and love nothing more than cheering on the team at weekends. I have been involved with ice hockey behind the scenes for around 30 years, spending over 25 of those working voluntarily as equipment manager for the Telford Tigers although I also helped with sponsorship, marketing, fan liaison, press and media together with many other areas. In my time I have also been fortunate to hold positions with the Hull Thunder, Milton Keynes Kings, Cardiff Devils and Milton Keynes Lightning before returning to Telford around 2004. In 2010 I was the co-founder of the Telford Tigers Supporters Trust, the 1st ice hockey supporters trust in history, which saved the team from closing, took it on and operated it, and helped steer the club through some tough years. I was voted a winner in the Shropshire Star 'Telford Champion’ awards commemorating 40 years of the town and 40 people for their contribution to the community. I have celebrated Christmas Cup, British Challenge Cup and double English Premier League Championships, and more recent National Ice Hockey League and National Cup Champions in 2020. I have received the Tigers Clubman Award at both the 2015 and 2017 end of season team presentation gala dinners for my dedication to the organisation. Schneider Electric
