Ankara Orr’s Expertise Accreditation and Certification Lead Provide leadership and vision to the Accreditation, Certification and Test team (ACT) by continuously improving the accreditation and certification programs. Develop internal and customer facing partnerships that enabled the team to successfully meet business needs. Responsible for the quality reviews of all partner design centers and their solution certifications. This is accomplished by maintaining consistent processes and methods used by all of the ACT team. Work with other members of the team to establish and assure processes and standards are consistently applied to all partner design center accreditations and solution certifications. Coach and mentor members of the ACT team on partner relationships, program management, product/development lifecycles, quality systems, testing techniques and strategies. Responsible for Accreditation and Certification roadmaps, processes, metrics, and team capacity planning. Drives over all technical training development for the team ensuring exposure to required knowledge needed to be effective as a partner Accreditation and Certification lead. Manages ACT test lab.• As a System Engineer for the FW development lab, I Investigated requirements to analyze the customer impact, describe the business value, to identify all the teams that must contribute to the feature, describe the use cases, and to conceptualize the solution outcome and clarify that for others. I analyzed and investigated hundreds of requirements per quarter in 18 different technology pillars. This included facilitating technical investigation meetings, documenting and following all action items. This facilitated seamless R&D deployment when the teams were ready to begin work on the features. The teams could instantly begin work without spending days or weeks trying to clearly define requirements.• To find defects earlier in the development life cycle, I led a team where we created 3 phases of system tests. Our first phase of system tests would simply use system calls and examine the results of those calls, the next phase would incorporate using the external Web Services methods to make calls and examine the results. In the third phase we incorporated examining the data from the User Interface. We were able to get tests on-line up to 5 months earlier using this method and were able to solve many issues before the User Interface came on-line. • In order to reduce qualification costs by enabling tests to run on multiple products, I created a test Productization strategy that focused test functionality on either Core, Family or Product Specific features. • Led the project to create a new test architecture when the previous architecture no longer served the lab. The results were tests that could run on simulator, emulator or engine, tests had front end code in easily human-readable form, no ambiguity in the tests, all tests are repeatable under all conditions, and common methods written in C# are stored in the back end utilizing the ‘write once – use many’ concept. • When no technical documentation existed, I successfully created hundreds of accurate test requirements by questioning the experts on the expected functionality in each situation as well as reverse-engineering. From the Test Requirements that I wrote, third–party test writers could easily write a test to verify the requirements. • By creating a 3rd-party Work Request template that held a list of all the Test Requirements (that I also wrote), and it contained a list of all deliverables expected as well as overall test environment requirements, including the frequency of running the tests and recording the overall results, I was able to help vendors to know exactly what was expected of them and ensure that HP was getting the desired results from 3rd-party vendors.• I helped the R&D Firmware lab to better be able to track and measure their requirements by creating a process flow state diagram, and designing an input tool for entering new requirements, an update tool to change the state of each requirement, establishing roles and responsibilities, training and documentation.• To improve product quality and reduce costs of costly defect escapes, I routinely practiced white-space analysis to improve our test coverage, by documenting the test holes and ensuring new tests were added. Managing system test requirements for MFP LaserJets Partnering and planning with the Test Lab for execution, triage and metrics Consolidation of System Top Issues and Escalation Present System Status metrics and results at program checkpoints System test process design, process improvement Writing system test plans and qualification plans. Curriculum design, training management for ERP, Host, MPS, Consulting and System Integration, LRS, and Dazel training for our consultants Managed and facilitated the use of virtual classrooms for live training Third-party vendor management. New process improvement and design Defined and documented System Test requirements Created System Release Data Sheets, Turmoil ratings and Release Notes Presenting System Status metrics and data for the program checkpoints Champion for issue management, defect resolution and enhancement requests. • Saved HP over $250,000 on HP LaserJet Solutions University while expanding the content by 10 technical courses and substantially improving all quality metrics. • When HP LaserJet divisions had never before created any multi-media training, I led a team to investigate what it would take and selected the 3rd-party vendor, wrote most of the technical content and managed the 2 projects to completion all as a side job to my regular full-time job. • When HP introduced new products I created self-paced training workbooks, exams, videos, wrote video scripts, presented live technical and sales training, created and led Train-the-Trainer event and Managed all logistics for worldwide training events.
