That was my first exhibition and my first self realization of how much I loved the world of colors, shapes, patterns and creativity. I followed my passion for art & design to the most renowned design institute in India, National Institute of Design (NID). I completely fell in love with design overall and specialized in textile design. Later I went on to work as a textile designer, pattern maker, print developer, dyeing specialist, accessories designer, paper-machè artist, landscape/swimming pool tile-pattern intern, craft lover before I finally moved to Canada and into graphic design and home staging. It was an awesome experience being a graphic design student at Humber and home staging student at Seneca. Education, once again reminded me how important it is to be a student for life, learn and grow into the circle of infinite opportunities! I love every minute of my life, be it my professional life and design work that I do currently or my personal life where we do a lot of activities depending upon the weather :P (Come on! I have to talk about the weather, after all I am Canadian!). Unlearning a lot of things from back home and learning new concepts has been very fulfilling. I am more open-minded, more easy-going, love team work, love trying new ideas without the fear that it might be too crazy! I appreciate and love everything about my new coloring wall (which this time is invisible but bigger and better and very rewarding). I am ambitious about being happy, up-to-date in my field and passionate about whatever I do next. High on life! Happy creating! Beta Calco
