Anthony Flint’s Expertise Anthony Flint (www.anthonyflint.net) is Senior Fellow at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, a think tank in Cambridge, Mass (www.lincolninst.edu). He is engaged in writing and research on topics including climate change, sustainability and resilience, infrastructure, affordable housing, and the regeneration of post-industrial cities. A career journalist, he is contributing editor at Land Lines magazine, host of the Land Matters podcast, and a correspondent for Bloomberg CityLab http://www.citylab.com/authors/anthony-flint/ and The Boston Globe, where he writes about architecture and urban design. He is author of Mayor's Desk: 20 Conversations with Local Leaders Solving Global Problems (Lincoln Institute 2023); Modern Man: The Life of Le Corbusier, Architect of Tomorrow (New Harvest 2014); Wrestling with Moses: How Jane Jacobs Took on New York’s Master Builder and Transformed the American City (Random House 2009); and This Land: The Battle over Sprawl and the Future of America (Johns Hopkins University Press 2006); as well as co-editor of Smart Growth Policies: An Evaluation of Programs and Outcomes (Lincoln Institute 2009). After many years as a reporter for The Boston Globe, he served as a policy advisor on smart growth for Massachusetts state government. He has also been a visiting scholar and Loeb Fellow at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, a writer in residence at The American Library in Paris, a practitioners fellow at The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center, and a curator and speaker at TEDx. He earned his B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and attended the University of St. Andrews and the Bread Loaf Writers Conference.
