He is thrilled to have founded The Life Writes Project, an officially recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to help improve teaching and learning through stories, dialogue, and personal writing. Having served as its first Executive Director, and after serving students in Central Dauphin School District for ten years, he continues his work to improve young people's lives now (2016) as a full time grade eight English teacher at Milton Hershey School, one of the nation's best boarding schools serving students from underprivileged backgrounds.
