  I am now getting to the point where work is getting in the way of life! I served a full apprenticeship with H&V Contracts of Feltham and then Technical Installations Services Staines. I left them after becoming qualified and joined The Phoenix Electrical Company of Borough South London. After a year of contracting largely around the Wembley area, I was 'head hunted' by my first ever boss from when I left school to join Brixford of Bushey Herts. I spent a very happy 14 and half years with them at various locations but mainly Wembley. When I left I decided upon self employment and have since worked everywhere in the country from Glasgow to Truro. There is very little in the electrical contracting industry that I have not carried out, but I am still learning and us contractors seem to be sent back to college every other year now for some sort of update. But at the moment, it is still a very good way of life and I will always be grateful to those that have trained me over the years and a thank you to those that I have worked with and alongside as without some of those characters, it would have been exceedingly dull.
