My current academic roles at the University of Gibraltar allow me to keep up-to-date with the latest lecturing, research and curriculum advances. My work with BirdLife International greatly informed my knowledge and experience with the policies and processes of UN Conventions and Task Forces (UNFCCC, CBD, CMS, Ramsar). This allowed me to work at a range of scales from local to international, and to develop insights into the issues faced by both developed and developing countries. My work with the Climate Action Network allowed me to advocate for the inclusion and elevation of biodiversity protection and ecosystem integrity into UNFCCC and national government climate action. My work with the CMS Energy Task Force allowed me to work with a range of governments, investment banks, Conventions, universities and NGOs to reconcile and enable global renewable energy development with biodiversity conservation.
