During the one month period I've stayed on the city, I wrote articles and pieces regarding the games and the athletes, which got published on local newspapers and on the university`s website. One year later, I was invited by the Ministry of Defense to cover the operation: Forte do Presépio , an initiative meant to bring Brazil’s university students into the poorer regions of the country in order to look for solutions to the problems in the regions.
