As a result of his work with Aish Tamid, Avi was recognized in 2005 for “Outstanding Community Leadership” through the Community Research and Information Center. In 2006, Avi was selected as one of the “Top 10 Mensches in Los Angeles” and, in January 2007, Aish Tamid was awarded "Best-of-the-Best in Jewish Outreach" by Association of Jewish Outreach Programs. Avi opened and founded PARDES- PLAN B High School to meet the growing needs of Los Angeles Jewish Community. In 2012, Rabbi Leibovic founded his 2nd not-for-profit organization Tzorchei Tzibbur/Community Essentials whose mission is to respectfully, compassionately and sensitively provide direct assistance to individuals and families.
