Aymerick Soyez’s Expertise After more than 2 years as a Functional Analyst, I would like to move to a role that focuses on Algorithmic problem solving. As a Computer Science Engineer, I am interested in the design of Algorithms to solve complex challenges, including Mathematical problems and Artificial Intelligence, in the field of Transport, Energy, Life Science, or any application able to simplify a stressful task or complex decision/configuration problem. My educational path at the Polytechnic Faculty of Mons gave me a solid background in Mathematics, with a specialist focus on Artificial Intelligence and Decision Aid. The topic of my master thesis was the design and implementation of an algorithm that finds the best configuration for the Cover Printing Problem. The main challenge of this problem is its complexity : it is proven that there is no known algorithm able to solve it in a reasonable amount of time, even when the input data seems small. However, my algorithm managed to find better solutions for approximately 80% of the datasets used in the State of the Art, in less than 3 minutes !
