  About me, visit: bit.ly/azizawaludin I am a Fulbright fellow currently doing Ph.D. studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. My specialization is on Educational Policy Analysis and Evaluation at the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA). I am also a research assistant to Professor Richard Halverson at the Department. As a first generation, I graduated with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Monash University, Australia, in 2018 and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from State Islamic University Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2016. My M.Ed.'s capstone thesis analysis focused on the utilization of online learning for tertiary students in Australia and received a distinction title and my B.Ed.'s thesis was on the use of peer-assessment in improving students' writing skills on social media. From 2019 to 2021, I was a researcher at PPIM (Center for Studies of Islam and Society), Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. I specialized in leading Policy Engagement Program in analyzing policies and government documents on religious education for CONVEY (countering violent extremism), a joint project between PPIM and UNDP Indonesia. Upon completing the study, I worked as an intern at Satu Data Indonesia, Kantor Staf Presiden (the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Indonesia), as a communications specialist. Having met some of the high-level officials at the national and regional level, and argued persuasively in support of the project, I had been chosen to represent the institution and deliver partnership proposals to some of the most prominent potential partners. In 2017, I founded @digitalpesantren, an online school on Instagram that provides Islamic teaching and understanding. Its main objective is to spread peaceful and moderate Islam. In doing so, the platform provides various learning materials, such as the Arabic language, fiqh (Islamic law), tajweed (Koran recitation teaching), etc. Until now, @digitalpesantren has opened various online classes using Blackboard, a learning management system, and served more than nine thousand online students. Also, more than a thousand copies of my dictionary, “Kamus Santri” (2020) in Indonesian, English, and Arabic, has been spread among santri (Muslim students) in some “pesantren” (Islamic boarding schools) in Padangsidimpuan, Jambi and Bogor.
