Useless exercises now, but glad to have done it as it gave me a deeper insight on much more than just frontend code. It's still something I advice other starting frontend developers to do. The next challenge I undertook, was to basically stop depending on javascript and write well formed HTML and utilise CSS to it's fullest extend. As a result my overal code these days is leaner, cleaner and easier to maintain. Still the techniques are hard to teach, not so much because they are hard to fathom, but because people tend to stick to one language as a silver bullet solution alas.
