  Throughout school I always wanted to study medicine. When I got accepted into medicine from school it was a dream. However after spending a gap year in Finland on Rotary Exchange I also dreamed of studying in Finland so declined my medicine offer. Unfortunately, after much consideration, the logistics of studying there were too difficult and so I returned to Australia to commence my undergraduate degree at the University of Western Australia. During my Sports Science, Exercise and Health degree I was privileged to complete my practicum with the West Coast Eagles Football Club during the 2015 season which gave me amazing opportunities and experience working within an elite sporting environment. After completing my degree, I carried on with my studies and graduated with First Class Honours. I subsequently worked to get my thesis published in the International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance which was a highlight. My interest in performance analysis then led me to complete a Graduate Certificate of Sports Analysis with the University of Canberra. After a relatively long period of indecision I decided to go back and study a Graduate Diploma in Forensic Anthropology. This was a complete change of direction however provided me with one of my most enjoyable years of study with an amazing opportunity to complete an archaeological field school on the island of Lazaretto Nuovo in Venice. It was during this year that I my dream of studying medicine really came to the fore again and so I applied through the graduate pathway to study medicine at UWA. Surprisingly I was accepted and I have now began my journey into medicine. I feel like I am a latecomer however I come with the knowledge that I am definitely now on the right path! Just Brass
