This gave me a great operational understanding of many aspects of the business and allowed me to assist in change management projects that did not solely focus on the financial aspect of the business. After taking a 3 month secondment as the Districts Budget Accountant, I commenced my position as a Finance Manager in Mental Health where I am required to carry out a range of tasks to ensure Mental Health units have an adequate budget, assist in the preparation of business cases and ensure management have all the financial information they require to make the best business decisions for their unit.
