Bill holds an unrestricted blasters license in the Commonwelth of Massachusetts. In 2005 Bill and his wife Maria formed the Shields & Associates Insurance Agency which was located in Winchester, MA. In 2011 they sold their agency and Bill joined HUB International as a Vice President in their construction insurance department. An avid writer, bill is the author of The Farewell Christmas a memoire about his Naval Aviator brother Jackie who returned home for a merorable Christmas in 1956.
