  I am a Ph.D student woking on Astrophysics. My research interests are basically the theoretical studies of "Astrophysical Flows Around Compact Objects". Apart from this my focus is also on X-Ray Astronomy with XMM Newton, RXTE and ASTROSAT(Future Mission) and studies on Active Galactic Nuclei with focus on their Accretion Disk Phenomenology. I also plan to work on Relativistic Astrophysics. Previous research experience:: Completed a one year M.Sc. project entitled “Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) and Xray studies of Galaxy M51”. In this project I have done a detailed study on AGNs, concentrating on the AGN structure and characteristics built up from multiwavelength observations over the past few decades. I have also studied the active galaxy types, the standard AGN Unification picture requiring a common energetic power source, and supermassive black holes (SMBH) as suitable candidates.
