Brandon Neal’s Expertise Brandon Neal, Senior Producer in the Office of the President at The Juilliard School, is responsible for leading a variety of interdisciplinary programs, performances, events, and the creation of new works through the school's Creative Enterprise initiative. Along with partnering with all three divisions of dance, drama, and music, Brandon has produced a wide range of special projects and performances with guest artists through the Arnhold Creative Associates and Creative Partners Programs. Current and past collaborators include Ava DuVernay, Kris Bowers, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Jon Batiste, Colman Domingo, Jamar Roberts, Renée Fleming, Nathalie Joachim, Raja Feather Kelly, Barbara Hannigan, Rhiannon Giddens, Denyce Graves, and Nico Muhly to name a few. In 2022 Brandon was selected as a member of the Sphinx Organization's fourth cohort of Sphinx LEAD, a 2-year leadership program designed to evolve the industry landscape by empowering the next generation of executive arts leaders of color. Brandon served as a member of OPERA America's Racial Justice Steering Committee from 2018 to 2023, advising on a wide rage of EDIB initiatives including the expansion of programming, the creation of structures aimed at providing access to OPERA America's resources for administrators and artists of color, and assisted in creating actionable and effective practices for OPERA America's efforts to enrich the operatic art form and industry. Previously as Program Development Manager at The Santa Fe Opera, Brandon took a leadership role in the development, operations, and artistic decisions associated with Opera for All Voices (OFAV), a consortium of opera companies in pursuit of commissioning new chamber operas. For its first two seasons Brandon was the co-narrator and music curator for the podcast Key Change, an explorative behind-the-scenes look into the works being created through OFAV. Key Change addressed a wide range of topics including the current state of opera in America, and the struggle for diversity and inclusion in the field. Additional work experiences include positions at the Louisville Orchestra where he helped guide and develop programs for young people in the city of Louisville and the Kentucky College of Art and Design where he worked to strengthen student retention and created scholarship opportunities for minority students. Brandon will receive a Masters in Business Administration from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University in 2024 and holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Louisville's School of Music.
