Prior to this position, Brandon held a legal position as an intake specialist at the Duchess County Public Defender’s Office in New York. Brandon also worked in City Hall in Manhattan, NY under Mayor Bill De Blasio. Additionally, he has had opportunities to study abroad, and gain a love for international politics at the University of Carlos Tercero in Madrid, Spain to study the Spanish language. Moreover, Brandon took a study trip to Cuba to research housing, and accessibility in Cuba through globalized housing platforms such as AirBNB. Brandon is a co-founder of a poetry organization called Vassar Verse. This is a coalition of poets who write about identity politics, and are involved in bringing poets of diverse identities to Vassar’s campus in order to strengthen community and coalition politics at Vassar.
