Most recently, I helped lead Sonder's hotel real estate efforts including helping to build out investment analyses, transaction support, and other critical resources for the alternative hospitality brand. Prior to Sonder, I spent time at Interstate Hotels and Resorts (now Aimbridge Hospitality), the largest full-service third-party hotel management company, where I focused on new investments, underwriting, and capital markets activities. My background also includes considerable time serving as Vice President of Strategy and Capital Markets at DiamondRock Hospitality Company (NYSE: DRH), a publicly traded hotel REIT. At DRH, I supported the CEO and CFO in setting the company's short and long-term strategy, developing the company's long-term financial projections and outlook, executing capital markets activities, and leading all investor relations activities. I also supported the executive team in analyzing a wide variety of strategic projects including investment decisions, capital expenditure/allocation decisions, as well as brand and hotel operator analyses. Throughout my roles including the projects I am involved with today, I draw on the significant time I spent living and working in Asia and Europe and my skills in due diligence, valuations, asset management, strategic planning, internal audit, capital markets, and project management.
