  I am a lecturer in Marine Electro-Technology at the Munster Technological University. I am based in the National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork. I work on the Marine Engineering and Marine Electrical Engineering programmes. Following my Degree, I received the UL40 scholarship to engage in my PhD which explored post primary teacher stress in Ireland. Previous to returning to full time education to pursue my Degree and PhD I trained as an industrial electrician with Clancy Contracts LTD. I worked in a variety of environments including pharmaceuticals, stadiums, hospitals and University educational facilities. The completion of an Apprenticeship, Degree and PhD has provided me with a unique, diverse and broad range of knowledge and skills for conducting my duties as a third level educator and researcher.
