Over the past 18 years, I have served in a variety of leadership roles in education, utilizing my knowledge of Spanish and technology, to impact both middle and high school campuses and beyond. During the 2020-2021 school year, I was awarded the honor of being Teacher of the Year. In previous years, I have led as Department Chair and served as Teacher Mentor. Additionally, I have served on Campus Improvement Committees, a Principal Selection Committee, and sponsored the Yearbook club which included the responsibility of a 15k budget. Also, I started a program in 2020 called Cougar Fit to promote fitness which currently runs a challenge each month to encourage friendly competition among colleagues to get the most minutes being active. My key strengths are being: • a team player and problem-solver • self-motivated, coachable, and a life-long learner These strengths work in tandem with a growth mindset that opens the door for wise risk-taking and innovation. I regularly try new teaching methods in the classroom and give students the freedom to think outside the box and make mistakes as well; that is how we learn! Although part of my current job is changing next year, (the Technology Integration Champion role will be eliminated), I love where I am. The faculty I work with and my students are absolutely amazing. I look forward to continue to grow and innovate to make a difference in the lives of people around me. Fort Bend Isd
