I have had the privilege of teaching students from across the globe a broad range of English as a Second Language disciplines and life perspectives. Within the last three years, I have been integrated with Dayton Public High School students. I have found myself working as an Advisor, Career Coach, tutor and Uber driver at no tax-payers expense. Volunteering as a high school youth leader through Dayton Urban Young Life has given me direct contact with inner-city students and has strengthened me as an inclusive Educator. The greatest element of being a Student Success & Retention Specialist is the personal interaction with diverse students. Often, students do not know how to identify or know how to direct their special gifts. It takes a compassionate professional to guide students and watch them flourish into professionals. I take pleasure in the development and mentoring phase of education. I value being a component to traditional and non-traditional students’ growth and competencies.
