I started building my own computers, then clumsily started poking around at code to make these fascinating machines do what I wanted them to do. I found a job on a desktop support team, where I had the opportunity to continue learning how computers tick, and make a living. I gained experience solving both common and unusual computer problems, and improving the PC build process. I began to write little AutoIT scripts to automate these solutions and improvements. The little scripts became big scripts, and eventually grew GUIs. Then these programs started to spread to other areas, and my name along with them. In 2010 I was picked up by an engineering team that handled the Windows build process, software delivery, and many other Windows infrastructure responsibilities. This is where I really got my chance to focus on writing code and finding solutions to bigger engineering problems. I started to create applications using C#, SQL, and ASP.NET, and was able to create automation interfacing with a variety of technologies including SCCM, Active Directory, Orchestrator, and App-V. I have also gained experience using ASP.NET and JavaScript to taking old convoluted processes and turn them into new and simple web based work flows. I'm passionate about learning and writing code and I'm always on the hunt for a better way to do things.
