  Hello, I'm Caitlin and I am a preservice teacher at Griffith University. I'm currently undertaking a Bachelor of Education Primary and minoring in English. Along with studying Education, I am also a qualified teacher aide and have worked in a volunteer capacity in a Year One, Year Four and Year Five classroom. My greatest achievement in an Education setting would be mentoring and tutoring students from a domestic and family violence background. Watching those children grow and build their confidence in all things life and learning has been a privileged and the smiles on their faces and the laughs, will be something I remember for the rest of my life. I consider myself a confidence builder, resilience maker and a homework buddy. Before starting in Education I was in several sales roles, from general retail, to selling holiday ownership and travel insurance. I also had the incredible opportunity to work within the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games athletes village, where I interacted with athletes from around the world and met royalty. I have traveled extensively and experienced so many incredible things, but the highlight is watching my students learn and understand new and exciting topics, and seeing the pride they feel within themselves explode when they are learning.
