Cara Lynch’s Expertise I am a customer service oriented professional with over 20 years of experience. I began my career at Dreyer’s/Edy’s Grand Ice Cream in 1992 as a billing clerk. I progressed quickly to the position of Scan-Based Trading Specialist, working as a liaison between Dreyer’s/Edy’s and grocery store chains. In 1999 I became the Office Manager for the Maryland Sales and Distribution profit center. This position encompassed oversight of Human Resources and Accounts Receivable and Payable. I supervised the administrative personnel in our office and planned all company events. I handled two successful EEOC audits and ensured constant compliance with federal and state labor laws as well as DOT regulations. I administered payroll and benefits for over 200 employees, and facilitated understanding of available benefits by holding group and one-on-one meetings. The employees trusted me to resolve and explain their compensation or insurance issues while maintaining complete confidentiality. The physical location of our office changed three times and I handled each move with minimal disruption to the business. Dreyer’s/Edy’s was acquired by Nestle USA during my time as Office Manager, and sensitive transition issues involving our personnel were entrusted to me. In 2008 I made a lateral move to become a Systems Support Analyst, working at home and providing 24/7 support for users of Oracle R12 and other Dreyer’s financial systems as well as Oracle Hyperion reporting software. I learned how to perform requirements gathering and document functional specifications for system enhancements and bug fixes. I excelled at employee training via webinars. I was also involved in period close accounting processes and performed general ledger reconciliations. After leaving Nestle I handled invoicing for a small engineering firm while working as a personal trainer. In 2018 I was hired by ICF International as a Senior Project Coordinator. This position has allowed me to understand the requirements for working with Federal Government entities and to expand my knowledge of 508 compliance standards. I have also taken a lead role in researching online platforms for holding virtual conferences.
