Cavit Ide’s Expertise Hello, I am Cavit, a graduate of Akdeniz University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts undergraduate program. I would like to briefly tell you about myself; I was born and grew up in agricultural production because my family is engaged in agriculture. In this way, when I was a child, I learned what it means to produce and productivity, and how important the land and nature are for humanity. As a result of my interest in local products when I was still a high school student, I started to work at Tokmak Mandıra, a local dairy in İzmir, during the summer seasons. Here, Izmir Tulum Cheese, Goat Leather Tulum I had the opportunity to learn about cheese, sheep yoghurt, summer halva varieties and baklava production. While I was an undergraduate student, I did my internship at Gastro Tire, the restaurant of Chef Serkan Çakır in Tire, Izmir. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience about local products and Aegean cuisine here. My foundations were laid professionally here. I completed my internship by combining the theoretical knowledge, experience and practical knowledge I gained at the university with devotion. Months before my graduation, I started working as a commis at Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort in Antalya Belek. I took an active role in the large and intensive operations of the Royal Villa, which has a world cuisine concept and provides 24/7 service to the villa guests, and the Montgomerie Golf restaurants, which are located within the hotel and serve golf players from the surrounding hotels. Later, I worked as Demi Chef De Partie at Kızılsakal no:1, the restaurant of MasterChef 2021 champion Eren Kaşıkçı in Istanbul. I am currently working as Demi Chef De Partie at Divan Bodrum. In summary, I had experience both in the restaurant sector and in the tourism and hotel sector. As someone who constantly reads, researches, learns and develops, I believe that in the future; I will take part in very good projects, very good works. I will advance in my career in a creative, determined and self-sacrificing way without forgetting the values of these lands with all my efforts, giving the value they deserve to agriculture, locality, development and nature.
