While at Staveley Chris obtained a MSc in Process Safety and Loss Prevention from the University of Sheffield and became the Site Process Safety Engineer. In this role Chris was responsible for a range of safety related activities such as facilitating safety studies, assessing the safety of modifications to the processes, undertaking risk assessments relating to specific operational problems, incident investigation, dispersion modelling, hazardous area classification and the preparation of COMAH (SEVESO II) Safety Reports.
