Christopher Castelli’s Expertise I drive development of thought leadership designed to help government and industry leaders understand and address complex challenges at the intersection of cybersecurity, national security, business, technology, and policy. As a thinking and writing partner to the business and an editorial leader on the integrated marketing/communications team, I wear many hats (e.g., subject-matter expert, strategist, author, guide, and editor) and oversee major projects end to end. I apply more than two decades of journalism, editorial, and storytelling experience to set content strategy, shape messaging, and develop thought leadership on topics like implementing zero trust, strengthening the cyber resilience/security of critical infrastructure, and countering disinformation. In addition, I advocate for the promotion of thought leadership across multiple channels. Prior to joining Booz Allen, I directed development of thought leadership on cybersecurity, privacy, and digital trust at PwC. And before that, I was an award-winning journalist covering U.S. cyber policy and Pentagon programs, procurement, and policymaking. On the cyber beat, I covered the Obama cyber summit, DHS, DOD, global cyber norms, NIST, privacy engineering, Congress, and cyber information sharing. I won recognition for coverage of DOD policy on Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Pakistan—and for investigative reporting on the V-22 Osprey, which led Congress to hold DOD accountable for failing to put cockpit voice recorders in the aircraft. Before 9/11, I broke the news of the Hart-Rudman panel’s prediction that terrorism would bloody U.S. soil.
