  My interest in engineering began in high school while taking an AutoCAD class, while my interest in fabrication and manufacturing began in college. While attending Texas A&M, I took a full-time drafting position designing commercial windows, extrusion dies, and creating installation drawings. I was given the opportunity to travel to military installments to take measurements of vehicles, present concepts to customers, and perform tests. As a Project Engineer, I have created Technical Data Packages, Bill of Materials, and company capabilities presentations. I have also worked closely with the QA/QC department; writing procedures, instructing personnel on how to use equipment and the best methods of inspecting products. Other responsibilities included creating the engineering department’s modeling and drafting procedures, develop business partnerships, write work instructions, and interview applicants for intern positions. As an engineer, I have been exposed to many types of fabrication equipment and processes as well learning a great deal about various types of material, specifically steels and aluminum.
