I trained in crisis management and de-escalation techniques in order to resolve high-stress situations. These situations helped me learn to be effective while working in multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, these experiences trained me to consider environmental safety measures when helping to maintain the safety of the clients. I have received training in trauma-informed care through the completion of the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) program at George Mason University.
