In 1986 Christopher was awarded The Most Outstanding Artist Under 35 by The British Royal Society of Watercolourists. Christopher exhibited extensively in the UK and his work is held in both corporate collections (eg. Abbey National Bank and Gartmore Investments) and private collections (eg. Terence Conran). Since moving to New Zealand he has completed a masters degree in Fine Arts at Elam, Auckland University. Christopher now teaches drawing, printmaking and painting at Whitireia Polytechnic in Wellington. In 2008, his illustrations for the children’s picture-book ‘Dad’s Takeaways’ (written by Melanie Drewery) were short listed for the Russell Clark medal for illustration.
