Cicek Cavdar cavdarc@itu.edu.tr & | Cicek Cavdar is an Associate Professor, Docent at the Communication System Division at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She has been leading the "Intelligent Network Systems" research group focusing on the design and planning of intelligent network architectures, AI assisted network management, Air-to-Ground communications, and Green Networks. She finished her Ph.D studies in Computer Science, University of California, Davis and at Istanbul Technical University(ITU), Turkey in 2009. After her PhD, she worked as an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering Department, ITU. She served as chair of the IEEE ICC 2017 Green Communication Systems and Networks Symposium in Paris. She has been chairing several workshops on green cloud and radio access networks last few years co-located with IEEE ICC and Globecom. She has been leading EU EIT Digital projects such as "5GrEEn: Towards Green 5G Mobile Networks" and "ICARO-EU: Seamless DA2GC in Europe". She coordinated Swedish cluster for EU Celtic Plus project SooGREEN "Service Oriented Optimization of Green Mobile Networks" (winner of the Celtic Excellence Award). She is leading two large European cluster projects as the technical coordinator: AI4Green "Artificial Intelligence for Green Mobile Networks" and 6G-SKY "6G for Connected Sky".
