  I have extensive clinical experience working in a variety of mental health and integrated care settings with children, young people and adults across the life span. I have been working in mental health services since 1997 and have worked as a qualified clinical psychologist since 2003. My main therapeutic approaches involve Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy; I have also undertaken further training in Behavioural Family Interventions and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Re-processing (EMDR) for trauma. In addition to direct clinical work I consult to and supervise other professionals, providing training, reflective practice groups and leadership for various professional groups and clinically supervise doctoral research. I am also interested in writing and sharing my knowledge of psychology with the public in the media. I have worked closely with our own Marketing and Communications Team in DCHS to help develop our websites, health promotion campaigns and social media in an engaging and evidence based way.
