For my first seven years after school, I helped oversee daily operations for nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and a nuclear pharmacy for a health center in Topeka, KS. During the slow times at the hospital, I would do Nuclear, PET/CT, and CT annual physics and ACR testing. Realizing there was a demand for people that knew how to get ACR accreditation and Radioactive Materials License, I started my own consulting company which specialized in installing Nuclear departments for Cardiologists around Kansas. An opportunity became available in Kansas City as a Radiology Manager of nine imaging centers. I spent over two years overseeing all aspects of Radiology including but not limited to referrals, technologists, and billing/collections. My imagining centers provided XRay, DEXA, Fluoro, 3D Mammo, US, Echo, CT, MRI, ABUS, Stereotactic and PET/CT imaging services. GE provides me the opportunity to get back to what I love and that is PET/CT imaging. I am able to apply my experiences that I have obtained over the last 10 years in Radiology to help educate my regions about how GE’s products can maximize technologist’s workflow, Radiologist’s time, Administration’s finances, and most importantly Patient’s outcomes.
