As the Director for Customizations, I designed and implement a revenue-generating customizations service to ensure partners nation-wide could access and successfully implement high-quality curriculum to improve student outcomes while providing relevant and affirming content and tasks. In 2019 I joined the Crew of EL Education as the Lead Curriculum Designer, Digital Specialist. In this role I created an organization wide digital-strategy for curriculum development and distribution. While working alongside philanthropic organizations like the Robin Hood Initiative in New York, I lead the development of Unlock Phonics, a flexibility designed Phonics Curriculum for Grades 3-5 that could both be used in conjunction with existing curriculum products, or as a stand alone solution. I have been most impacted by the spirt of Crew, dedication to High Quality Work, and Continuous Improvement for student success. Prior to my work for EL Education I was a Classroom Teacher and Literacy Coach for my home district: Memphis-Shelby County Schools (2012-2019). During my time I led the district wide professional learning plan for implementation of new Curricular products, coached dozens of teachers and school leaders, and had a consistent record of achieving student results based on individual and school-wide end of year testing metrics.
